Kim Kardashian‘s future beau, take note.

“The next guy’s got to go through me,” stepfather Bruce Jenner tells Ellen DeGeneres.

After Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries came to an end after just 72 days, the former Olympian, joined by wife Kris Jenner on a recent episode ofThe Ellen DeGeneres Show, says he “can tell if it’s going to work or not” when he meets a potential bachelor.

In fact, he tells Ellen DeGeneres, he “had my questions” when Humphries sought his approval to marry Kardashian while the two were playing golf.

“In the back of my head I said, ‘I don’t know if she is going to say yes,’ ” he recalls. ” ‘But it’s not my decision. Go for it.’ ”

At the time, he says, he considered the situation as a whole. Kardashian, 31, was ready to get married and start a family. She was in love.

“Maybe we should start questioning some of their decisions,” he says about the entire brood, which also includes Kourtney Kardashian, 32, Khloé Kardashian, 27, Rob Kardashian, 24, Kendall Jenner, 16, and Kylie Jenner, 14.

But momager Kris Jenner says she trusts her kids’ judgment.

“It’s our job to support them, so I don’t question some of their decisions,” she says. “Obviously, we have internal conversations … ‘What the hell are you doing?’ ”

Kourtney Kardashian’s ultra-glam Oscar party style was also seen Viola Davis!

Kourtney Kardashian’s ultra-glam Oscar party style was also seen on one of 2012′s Oscar-nominated actresses: Viola Davis!

Viola Davis and Kourtney Kardashian submitted themselves to the fashion chorus by both donning Raoul Penelope’s goddess-glam white column with metallic gold bib neckline.

The hot mama rocked this white column silk Raoul ‘Penelope’ gown to Elton John’s Oscar after party, pairing it with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.Kourt looked absolutely glowing in this ensemble with her baby bump!

Kourtney Kardashian may be pregnant, expecting her second child (a girl, this time!) with boyfriend Scott Disick, but she’s not letting her baby bump interfere with her stylish ways.

Much like her sisters, Kourtney can dress to impress with the best of them. And that she did during a recent outing with Kim Kardashian to Elton John’s Oscars after party a few weeks ago.

Little did she know that her ensemble for that evening would have her competing in a fashion face-off with another star: Oscar nominee Viola Davis.

As for Viola Davis, she was definitely not pregnant when she wore the same Raoul gown to the third annual Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles last November. While the Oscar-nominated actress looked beautiful in the gown (she also had one of her trendy wigs on!), it made far more of a statement on Kourtney Kardashian.

Davis does well to embrace deep, rich colors, as opposed to plain Jane white. She did so amazingly, too, on the Oscars red carpet this year with her sexy, emerald-green dress that was gorgeous against her skin tone. Oh, and she went au naturel with her super-short hair (no wig!), and it provided just the right edge to her look.

But she wasn’t the first celeb to don the two-toned dress. Back in November, Best Actress nominee Viola Davis stepped out in the same Raoul gown for the 3rd Annual Governors Awards in LA. With a chic pixie and oversized bangle, Viola’s look was more mod than Homeric… yet equally as glam.

What a gorgeous gown! And to think, it could be yours for the bargain price of just $1,155! But I digress, probably because — let’s be honest — deciding which of these lovely ladies wears this look better is almost impossible.

Both emphasized the dress’ gold neckline by keeping their hair off their shoulders, and both played up the garment’s Grecian quality with their jewelry. What it comes down to then is the fit of the dress.

Who do you think wore it better: Kourtney or Viola?

Khloe Kardashian: ‘Kim and Kanye West Tried to Date’

*Kanye West and Kim Kardashian tried to start a lil something romantic, but his busy schedule kept it from ever blossoming into anything serious, confirms the reality TV star’s sister Khloe.

West’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose recently claimed his relationship with Kim was a factor in their 2010 split.

Now Khloe Kardashian is insisting Kim is not romantically involved with West, but they almost become a couple at one point.

“They were talking and trying to go on a date here and there, but it just didn’t work out,” she said during an appearance on DJ Sway’s Shade 45 radio show last week.

Khloe says she isn’t ruling out a romance in their future – because she’s convinced they would be good for each other.

“I know they hung out, but I know it’s never gotten to there (turned romantic),” said Khloe. “I genuinely think that because we have so much in common – like our families, losing parents and we do have a lot of connections – I think that if they were to go there, it would be a long relationship.”

Twice-wed Kim is currently in the midst of a divorce after splitting from basketball player Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.

Kanye, meanwhile, flew Kim to Paris last week for his runway show, and dressed her in his new collection, including $6000 Giueseppi Zanotti crochet stilettos.

Kim sat in the front row of the show alongside Jay-Z, Diddy, Common, Alicia Keys and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Following the event, Kim and Kanye partied at a Paris club, and took pictures on the go-karts that were part of Kanye’s runway show.

“I just love what he designs,” Kim said earlier in the day. “Look at me, I’m dressed head to toe in Kanye West stuff. In my view he’s a creative genius, I think he creates beautiful clothes that women want to wear.”

Several groups have come out the woodwork with one goal: Get Kim Kardashian and her family off television! Sick of Kardashian endorsements, over-dramatic moments, and one short marriage, people are looking to get their voices heard.

A GoPetition has over 10,000 signatures when this story was written. Petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement, “In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming. We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption.

“While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of ‘reality satire,’ it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them. I’ll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a ‘leaked’ sex tape.”

A website has been designed, as well as a Facebook page, for Kardashian haters to gather and find ways to keep the family from view!

Kim Kardashian’s 72 Day Marriage – The Real Deal Or Was It All Just For Show?

Kim Kardashian

Reality star Kim Kardashian and NBA pro Kris Humphries went from “I do” to divorce just 72 days after the couple’s estimated $6 million fairy tale wedding. This week’s issue of PEOPLE examines whether this very expensive reality love affair was real at all. While sources close to both insist her love was true, they also concede that after all those diamonds and all that champagne, it was likely doomed from the get-go. “They got engaged before they had ever spent a full week living together,” a Kardashian family pal says of the LA-based Kim, 31, and Minnesota-born Kris, 26, a former forward for the New Jersey Nets.

After their Aug. 20 wedding and five-day-long Italy “minimoon,” the pair moved in together for the first time in Manhattan, with cameras following their every move, as she launched a collection for Sears and he sat on the sidelines due to the NBA lockout. “Through their whole engagement, they were so excited for what was to come and their life together,” a longtime Kardashian friend tells PEOPLE. “But once they slowed down and settled into ‘real life,’ it became apparent that this wasn’t what they both thought it was.” With the stresses of filming, “it’s not like you’re settling into newlywed life by yourselves. You’re settling into it with cameras on you and America watching.” A source close to Kardashian tells PEOPLE, “A month into New York, she knew she had made the wrong decision.”

Little wonder the hard-hearted have dismissed the entire L’affaire Humphries as a PR stunt. An E! rep strongly denies claims that the union was a hoax intended to goose ratings of Kardashian’s reality show: “This is absolutely not a publicity stunt. We were just as surprised as everybody else.” One of her closest pals, The Spin Crowd’s Jonathan Cheban, says, “Their love was very real…but sometimes things are not meant to be.” Not only do both parties adamantly deny a staged romance, but some feel their quickie divorce might hurt her ever-expanding empire. “I don’t think it helps her or E! to have a backlash against the Kardashians if viewers feel manipulated,” says Stuart Levine of Variety.

“They were always arguing over something, from his going out to her working too much,” a Kardashian pal who spent time with them in New York tells PEOPLE. “She thought there would be growing pains, but happy-ever-after turned into rudeness and resentment.” But Humphries wasn’t naïve about the reality royalty he was marrying into. “He wasn’t [into the fame] when they met, but it was something he easily grew accustomed to – and liked,” says a source close to Kardashian, who adds that “Kris wanted to be more involved in her business.” (Sources close to Humphries deny this claim.)

So what happens now with the engagement ring, the wedding gifts, and Kim’s E! shows? A source close to the star says Kardashian will keep her $2 million diamond dazzler: “It’s a sentimental thing she’ll always have.” While the couple haven’t decided what to do about their lavish presents (“They genuinely feel horrible,” says a source), they will likely donate them to charity. “They’ll figure it out sometime soon,” adds a source close to the couple. E! hasn’t decided what to do with its already-shot footage of Kim and Kris, filmed for Kourtney & Kim Take New York, though promos for the series have begun airing. While it seems unlikely the season will be scrapped, “they don’t know yet how it will play out on the show,” says an E! source.

“Kim is embarrassed about the entire thing,” says a Kardashian family friend. “She’s ready to take blame for things. She took the whole world through this journey. She got caught up in the fairy tale, but her heart wasn’t there in the end.”

The Dangers of Kardashian-Endorsed QuickTrim

The Kardashian sisters are being sued for allegedly making ‘false’ claims about QuickTrim products

QuickTrim products are designed to "detoxify and clean" the body by eliminating extra water weight and bloating.

Kim Kardashian is famous for, well, being famous—and for her killer curves. But she has raised eyebrows with her paid endorsement of the diet regimen QuickTrim. In January 2010, she told Ok! magazine that she used several of its products to quickly shed 15 pounds—and some of her curviness—in just a few weeks. Now the reality star and her sisters are in legal trouble, too. The New York-based law firm Bursor & Fisher reportedly filed a $5 million class-action lawsuit against Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian, on behalf of four customers who say QuickTrim didn’t live up to its weight-loss claims. The plaintiffs allege in their lawsuit, filed Thursday in federal court in New York, that marketing claims about the products were “false, misleading, and unsubstantiated,” according to Reuters. They added that there was “no competent and reliable scientific evidence supporting any of these claims.”

QuickTrim products—which range from pills to powdered drink mixes—are designed to “detoxify and clean” the body by eliminating extra water weight and bloating, in large part because of the laxatives they include, according to the company. The products are available nationwide at more than 25,000 retail chains, including Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, and GNC. Many of Kim Kardashian’s 13.6 million Twitter fans have tweeted that, inspired by her, they’re going to give it a try.

But there’s no scientific evidence to back up QuickTrim’s claims, and recent research suggests such cleansing products don’t work and might even be harmful. A study published in the Journal of Family Practice in 2011 analyzed 20 case studies reported over the past decade, and found that colon cleanses cause symptoms from mild cramping to kidney failure. These products “tout benefits that don’t exist,” the study authors said in a media statement.

Illusory benefits are exactly the problem with QuickTrim products, says registered dietitian Keri Gans, author of The Small Change Diet. “They’re just another quick fix,” she says. “You might lose some weight, but the next step is gaining it all back, because you haven’t actually changed your eating behavior.”

With the help of Gans and Adriane Fugh-Berman, a physician and associate professor in the complementary and alternative medicine master’s degree program at Georgetown University Medical Center,U.S. News deciphered the “Supplement Facts” label on three popular QuickTrim products. (QuickTrim did not respond to repeated requests for comment.)

[See: What Is the ‘Best Diet’ for You?]

Burn & Cleanse 14 Day Diet System. This purports to burn calories by day and cleanse by night. The morning and afternoon supplements contain a “thermogenic complex,” two doses of which provide a total of 400 milligrams of caffeine—which is equivalent to four cups of coffee. The supplements also contain piperine (black pepper) and white willow bark extract, both of which Fugh-Berman says can increase the potency of caffeine, a stimulant that helps boost metabolism. Further down the ingredient list is green tea leaf extract, which may or may not contain caffeine. “It irritates me that they’re not saying how much caffeine is in these pills,” Fugh-Berman says. “Too much caffeine can make you jittery and increase your blood pressure and pulse. If you pop a couple of these pills with your Starbucks coffee, that’s not good; you could get caffeine poisoning, which can cause heart arrhythmias.”

The evening supplements contain the “IsoCleanse and Flush Herbal Complex,” a combination of stimulant laxatives (senna, cascara, and rhubarb) and bulk laxatives (oat fiber, prunes, dates, and fig extracts) to increase the movement of food and liquid through your intestines. While Fugh-Berman says this might be helpful if you have constipation, it’s not good for those with regular bowel habits. “You’ll get diarrhea, which could cause dehydration and a loss of vital nutrients, which isn’t good,” she says. “Stimulant laxatives, of which IsoCleanse is chock-full, can cause your intestines to become dependent on them for stimulation, causing constipation if you stop.”

Fast Cleanse. This is billed as a “48-hour Super Diet Detox” designed to “help you drop a dress size for a special occasion.” Wedding, perhaps? In essence, this is a fiber-rich drink that you ingest four times a day between meals consisting of clear soups, gelatin, fruits, and vegetables. Certainly, you’ll drop a few pounds on this plan, which is fine, says Fugh-Berman, as long as you don’t mind putting them right back on after taking the dress to the cleaners.

Sugar & Carb Cheater. The company says this is designed for dieters who are concerned their sugar and carbohydrate intake is keeping them heavy. Popping two pills ahead of your largest meal of the day supposedly keeps carbs from turning into fat by blocking theenzyme that causes the conversion. Ingredients include chromium, fenugreek seed, bilberry fruit, and vanadyl sulfate. However, Gans stresses that unless you consume too many calories, carbs break down into glucose, not fat. “Scientifically, it doesn’t make sense,” she says. “It’s offering people false hope.”

In a nutshell, QuickTrim elixirs have some pretty powerful stimulants, laxatives, and diuretics. “I don’t think anyone should take these products,” Fugh-Berman says, when asked if there are any health conditions that should preclude someone from using QuickTrim. The package material advises checking with a doctor before using the products, although it’s unclear whether many people do. “Dietary supplements like these aren’t regulated by the [Food and Drug Administration], and many of the ingredients haven’t been shown to be effective,” says registered dietitian Heather Mangieri, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. “The good news is that these products are absolutely not necessary for weight loss. My suggestion is to leave them on the shelf.”
